The Nigeria-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) proudly announces the appointment of Professor Ogechi Adeola, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Kigali, as its International Trade Adviser.

In an official statement on LinkedIn, the chamber emphasized Professor Adeola’s extensive experience in both academia and the corporate world, marking her as a crucial addition to its mission of enhancing trade and investment between Nigeria and Britain.

With a rich background in consulting for Afreximbank, Professor Adeola has significantly contributed to the African Sub-Sovereign Governments Network initiative. This initiative aims to bolster collaboration among sub-sovereign governments and promote intra-African trade and investment under the African Continental Free Trade Area framework.

The chamber also highlighted Professor Adeola’s impactful work as a National Consultant for the International Labour Organisation. Her focus on women’s entrepreneurship and economic empowerment in Nigeria has led to substantial contributions to policy recommendations on gender equality and inclusivity.
